Katia's wedding

Katia, the most beautiful woman I know in Romania and the one I have photographed the most. It was difficult to convince her to spend time with me and my cameras six years ago when we first meet but I have notice during all these years as a photographer that my best photographs have never been the easiest ones to make. Sometime courage and tenacity are needed, not to say love and transfiguration. Being in her company called for these qualities in me and we have made together some striking photographs. A few weeks ago as we where having lunch she announced me that she was to get married.... It was an honor to be present at her wedding last saturday......

Simona and Cristina just coming back from their yoga class and searching for a song in the Bhagavad Gîtâ Iringo between two yoga techniques, always very focused and so serious while performing asanas that I do not dare to disturb her.....well, she heard the camera's click and smiled...... Elena with a large print of Grieg, now on Livia's wall....

Cristina

Cristina, probably my sister from another life and a very dear friend in this one...we both are in the same yoga school and we even live in the same ashram...that is to say in a big family of about 25...she was playing in the courtyard with the water hose last july when I remembered that it was her birthday... I interrupted the game to photograph her... it is said that we are the closest to our self on this day...this must be why she seems so centered...

Arthur

Arthur is always smiling... could be from his intense yoga practice... 8 hrs a day 365 days no matter what happens... 5 days / week he does 10 hrs of karma yoga...voluntary work mostly in construction building for the yoga school. I admire his courage and dedication to spiritual evolution... he told me stories from his time as an israeli officer on the egyptian and palestinian borders but you would have to meet him to hear them.....

Victoria

Victoria called me today asking if I wanted to go make some photos...a few months since I have seen her...Vertical light with no shadow in sight except in this old little rusted Fiat, the windshield was so dirty that I could barely see Victoria thru it but a little rain water helped... she is so sensual, so pure and so spiritual that I never know how to photograph her, too impressed with her beauty so we simply go where there is good light and I wait for her grace to manifest...
